Survived the grandson's birthday party with my ex there. I'm hoping that he was the one that felt uncomfortable because it looked to me that everyone was avoiding him. He had to approach them in order to have a conversation. Even the kids would talk a minute then walk away. I just came away with that same old feeling of "you pathetic little man".
One really funny highligh, as I was told later by my stepdaughter. He told her daddy that he had to shave off his gray beard if he was to walk her down the isle is Sept. He said NO. Can't wait to see how that works out.
Had a good Mother's Day. My boy younger boys took me to breakfast, and the two step children called. It was a relaxing day.
Today I am taking my youngest to meet his scholars college group. They are going to Europe for 10 days. This will be his first airplane ride. What an adventure. I am so envious. He'll turn 21 in Praque - how cool is that.

That is sooooooooo super cool for your son and what a wonderful adventure!!! You have much to be proud of moo and I'm so happy you had a good Mother's day. My bio son was hungover and decided that day was a good day to bash mom with BS regarding my divorce over 8 YEARS ago. Even at this late date I can briefly experience the inner rage, kept my mouth shut and then vividly recall why we aren't anymore. This son is almost a carbon copy of his dad. I like that your stepdaughter is her own woman and speaks her mind. The other 4 kids are that way but this son is the only one inheriting his dad's business. Keep your sense of humor and seriously I'm seeing you getting stronger even if you don't feel it yet!
