i'm baaack;)....and i brought steph and tom back with me.lol...so having to go back to work this week has been soooo hard, because the kids are here. we had a great time in colo...steph and tom DID get accepted by their adoption agency, and the process is now started for real...the home visit and background checks etc are next...they were really excited after their initial interview w/the agency...and they feel that this agency is the best match for them...they don't place very many babies a year but they only have a few couple waiting at any given time. as for zoe...what a cutie...sweet and smiley...loves to bounce and sing and clap...took two steps by herself and her top teeth are just about ready to come thru. i miss her so already. and jd did climb the mountain...i will post pics as soon as poss. i am enjoying having steph and tom here this week. they get along famously w/lily. steph is the aunt that every little kid loves to have. lily came and spent the night last. man that kid sure can wear a person out! she didn't sleep as good as she usually does, and therefor everything didn't run as smoothly as it usually does,lol...but i missed her while i was gone so much and it was great to have our sleepover again. we made meatloaf w/carrots and potatoes and chocolate cake w/sprinkles on the icing for dessert....yummy! tomorrow night we are all getting together at lily's house for a picnic and friday we are all taking off work and going to a park that has rides for little people like lily and a waterpark. we all grew up going to this park and none of us have been there for years. so that's what is happening in the burgh along w/a nice cooler break in the humidity level today! i'll catch up w/you all over the weekend...steph and tom scheduled to go back to colo on sat. hugs, and a great evening to you! janey...ps...thanks for all the great thoughts and hugs, etc...while i was away...i missed you, too!

I am so glad the kids are happy with the agency they chose, that is wonderful! I know someone who went thr the process from the other side and choosing the right place is most of the battle. I am so happy you had a great time and now you are back to lily! I only have one granddaughter to snuggle, cuddle and spoil - I wish I had many! Can't wait to see your pics honey - I have missed you so! I posted a couple of pics of Deby and Sandy so take a gander, love you...jilly

I'm so happy you had a great trip! Its also so encouraging about Steph and Tom really diving into the adoption process. My husband and I were not totally sure when we began getting on lists, and we were very glad that we did because as the months wore on, we were more and more convinced that adoption was the way to go for us. And as you know, we were truly blessed with our son!! Have a great time at the park on Friday, it sounds wonderful. I'm looking forward to the weekend off as I have to work the next month of weekends. But Labor Day weekend we are going to see family in Cleveland and we are very excited about that!

Welcome home sweetie! So glad things are moving along on the adoption front. The acceptance to the agency is half the battle, so they should be on easy street from here! Sorry you cannot make it in town in August, but hey grandchildren and kids come first no doubt. I am so glad you had a wonderful trip. I missed your happy comments! love ya marcia

I have not been around to read all your journals, I am assuming one of your children is adopting a child ? What an awesome thing to do ..
One bit of advice to the parents adopting.. Please start to tell the child as soon as it can understand, like 1 or 2.. This way its not such a shock when there older..
I was adopted.. NOt told until 10, by a childhood friend.. The devistation was overwhelming, for years and years ..
I think the best way, is to tell the child right away..
Also, careful with the agency's.. My SIL and BIl, gave a lady $5,000 out of New York city, and she was a fraud ..
BEST of LUCK to the couple adopting..
I always love to hear about people adopting babies.. I guess it hits close to home for me ..
Have a great weekend..
Oh one more thing.. I volunteer for a animal shelter now.. check it out wwww.straysave.com

So glad to hear that you and JD had a wonderful time and got home safely! How nice that Tom and Steph were able to come home with you too! Prayers are all being answered with the adoption, and, it sounds like a precious wee one will soon be joining the family soon. How wonderful for everyone. I am so happy for all of you. Little Zoe sounds so precious, and, I'm sure you do miss her already. Lily didn't miss her Gammy too much, now did she? LOL What about Lucy? How did she do when you got home? Can't wait to see pictures Janey!! Tell Steph and Tom, my prayers are covering them always! Much love to you, Jami

So glad you had such a wonderful time Ma-it sounds so relaxing and loving. I can't believe she's cutting teeth already, she's growing up way too fast! I wish I had someone I trusted that would take Ian for a sleepover, guess Ian needs to take an overnighter to the Burgh!! Glad you're back, I love you-J

Sounds like the summer has been wonderful to you. You should be given the grandma of the year award. You have so much love for your family that it seeps through the computer and I can feel it here in my own home. You are truly a sweet person that shares of herself. Your family is lucky to have you. As always, I am still waiting for grandchildren, but did I tell you I am grandma to a black lab puppy named Chloe? My son and his wife got her when she was 7 weeks old and she is beautiful. They brought her to the Lake with them so I really got to know her. She is so well behaved and loves her kennel. Hope the adoption process with your children goes well. Take care, A.
