writing in "baby" blue tonite,lol...well, things are right on track in colorado..stpeh and tom are receiving letters from baby's mom, and all is well...they have started receiving well wishes and gifts from friends and family. they are having a really great time and have relaxed a little more. i sincerely hope nothing goes wrong with this process or we will be scraping them both off the ground. steph has decided to work three days a week after little one comes. she and tom both have paid time off for the baby, but i think its only a month. its nice that they will be home together at first, tho. lots of baby bonding going on in that household. i sent a baby care pkg..it was so fun, and i got lots of bargains, so it didn't cost a lot. today lily came over for a few hrs. we played babies...lol...i love it when she treats me like just another kid. i am taking her to see her first real movie on wed. we are seeing "madagascar 2". i am sure we will both enjoy it...i love the convenience of home but there is nothing that takes the place of the big screen. josh sarah and zoe are coming home for thanksgiving. so fun! can't wait to see that lil zoe again! if there is one thing i have learned w/my ra its to plan ahead and get the work done when i feel good. so i have been keeping a list and just pluggin away at it,lol... we are eating thanksgiving dinner at my house on the saturday of that week. it will be dave renee and lily, josh sarah and zoe, bryan and lacey, jd and i and various assorted pets,lol.. all crammed into the little house on high street! i love these holidays together, tho. for me, the more the merrier! the girls will be gabbing, the boys will be picking on the guitar and watching football, and everyone will be sneaking food from the kitchen...i am truly blessed this holiday season. well, i will take my leave...haven't been feeling great today...sore jaw, headache..upset stomach...i am heading to bed...i have been missing you guys a lot...take care...janey

hi all! hope you have arrived at november pain free! where the heck has this year gone? it has flown by for me for sure! well, baby news first...april, the baby's mom has signed off on her hospital plan. that means that she has given steph and tom power of attorney to take the baby from the delivery room and from the hospital. it also means that they will be notified by the correctional facility when she goes into labor. it is a big step and one more sign that april is determined to have her baby adopted. today steph and tom painted the baby's room and some furniture. they are so excited! we all are! in other news, miss lily came to my house on halloween, dressed as a pirate lol...she looked pretty good, all dressed up and she was definitey getting into the whole sword thing!she was a little intimidated at the first couple of houses, but by the fourth house she realized that she would accumulate more candy if she charmed the neighbors herself rather than having me go get the candy for her. and in colorado, miss zoe was dressed up like a little nurse, just like her mama,lol...what a cutie she must have been...zoe has graduated to a toddler bed so she has been "visiting" her parents several times a night! oh, i don't miss those days!...well, i'll say g'nite to y'all...go steelers!

Everything is falling into place so fast isn't it!!! When is the baby due , I forgot what you told us. I am excited about this baby can you tell? Hard to believe Zoe is in a toddlerbed , wasn't she just born??? Time is flying isn't it my friend. Did you get a picture of Lily in her pirate costume? If so post it, I would love to see it. You are going to have a whole lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, and I am soooo happy for you and your family hugs sandy

I am so happy for them being able to get to this point and start working on getting the room ready for the baby. Are you going to be able to go there when it is born to be part of the celebration? I am sure Lily and Zoe both looked so cute in their little costumes. Hopefully Zoe will stop her visits to mum and dad soon.
Ahhhhhhh must be football season there again. Go Raiders............ although they have been pretty pathetic in recent years.

Ugh, Ian has a full mattress on the floor for about a year and still visits me every night, someone save me!! Glad she had fun on Halloween, sounds super adorable..love ya Ma-JJ

halloween is such a great holiday for the little ones isn't it? you all are braver than i was letting the little ones out of the crib and into a youth bed, my girls would wander and hop in with me so i keep the crib up as long as possible lOL and you know it still wasn't very long. Can't wait for the new baby to come, I'm glad everything is going so smoothly - your family really is blessed...hugs jilly
i am picking a happy color today...steph, tom and the baby's mom are meeting today. wow, i can't even imagine the stress of anticipating this meeting! some of you have asked if this is an open adoption. it is not. the agency that steph and tom are working with specializes in closed and semi open adoption. the baby's mom wants to meet them to assure herself that she made the right choice, and to allow them to ask questions about her medical history and her family's medical history. once the baby is born the mom wants a couple of minutes with her baby and then she wants steph and tom to take the baby from the delivery room and she does not want contact again unless the baby wants to see her when he/she is an adult. i don't know if this is good or bad...it is what she wants and she specifically chose an agency that is closed adoption. steph and tom plan on being very open with their child about adoption. they will talk about it from day one. it will be a part of this child's life, like the birthday story is part of the other little ones in our family. we will all find our way day by day..God willing. i will let you know how things go with the meeting today. i am off and was to meet a friend that i hadn't seen for many years, but she lives much further north than i and the weather here the past day or so has been rainy and freezing rain at times. neither of us felt inclined to drive to meet. today is not raining but snow flurries are flying! i love it for about a minute!,lol...i am in the middle of a flare today. my neck is so stiff i cannot turn my head in either direction. i have a headache from it also. hopefully it will get better thruout the day today. i didn't sleep at all last night. and i am so "tired" all over. i did walk lucy last night and this morning but they were the hardest walks i have had for a while. felt like walking under water. i think i will take lucy in the car for a ride today. its been a while and she loves to go. talk to you all soon....love and hugs, janey

Are you going to stop at McD's and get Lucy a burger also?!! lol I used to have a poodle named Fifi who went everywhere with me , even Dairy Queen, she rode shot gun, and had me turn into Mc Donalds at times. I am so anxious for you and the new parents! Having had friends who adopted both thier kids and knowing what they went thru, and then years later being on the other side of the fence , sure does bring back memories for me. Everything will be fine, the birth mother seems to know what she wants, lets hope it stays that way. Don't want to sound like a dark cloud but we all have heard the horrors of adption, and I do hope they have their bases covered. When this stress goes away I bet you will feel better. I used to get the stiff neck and pain, now after this surgery I hope its gone for good!! Your weather is awful!! I saw it on the news last night, you guys are getting hammered. janey, I know you are stressed over this meeting and the whole adoption thing. these things usually work out fine. in time if and when the child chooses to see its real mother I am sure they will know it. sometimes the child just loves the adopted parents so much they don't care. after all, they are going to be momma and daddy. how sweet and happy I am for the family. my prayers are with you. hugs gail

I'm sorry about your neck-I have that just about every day, I htought it was just me being stressed and carrying it there but I guess RA can cause it to happen too! You make those holidays sound so great. Something I never was really able to enjoy as my g/parents were not into big gatherings and with only one child (my mum) and she was away for the first 11 years of my life in another state there was jsut the three of us. Think I missed out on a lot but can't go back now.
You will have a great time as will the family too. Good food, good company, lots of laughs and fun. way to go.

I took Ashley to see Spongebob squarepants the movie when she was 3 and we discovered that she really liked buttered popcorn and twizzlers just like grandma! How about that? LOL your holiday sounds great - i'm not sure where ours will be yet but we will all be together and that is the most important thing of all...hugs jilly
