I had a good day. My step daughter was induced this morning. It was going slowly so we headed out to my pdoc appointment which was a really great visit. After that we bummed around to some stores including my favorite bead store.....yea! My kids had a good time picking out beads for their own projects.  I ended up on the short end of the stick by getting out of there with only one thing for me.

After shopping we dropped into the hospital around 5:30 and she was still going slowly so the doctor broke her water and soon out came the baby. He is super cute. She was happy to be done. What a proud Grandpa my husband was.

The baby's name is Bonofacio. He was named after his Daddy's Uncle that died as a newborn.

I got to hold him. I haven't held a baby in a long time and it was great. I had wanted at least 6 kids but stopped at 3 for medical reasons. I wanted one with my current husband but we decided it wasn't the right thing to do. That bummed me out for a long time.

Holding the baby made me want one again. I think I will always have baby envy. When my sister was preganant with her two I hate to admit it but I was jealous. I know that's sounds pathetic but I can't help it. I have always had the maternal instinct. I was always called Mom number 2 in my family because I helped take of everything. My siblings said if anything ever happened to my Mom(who along with two sisters and a brother I am estranged from  but that's another story for another day.) I would take her place. That was a lot of pressure.

Anyway, tomorrow we are heading back to see my step daughter and the baby. I am so happy for them. She is a great mother and her husband is great with their kids.
