Graduation
Saturday night I watch with pride as my only child graduated from high school. I swelled with pride as I watched him walk in with his black gown and gold sash. The gold sash letting everyone know he was a honor student. Only thirty five in a class of 158 could stand with that honor as he stood. I swelled with pride when he stood once again for not missing any school this year. I watched as he got his diploma, I watched has he became a man. Though he does not turn 18 till a week from today my son is still a man. With the maturity of many twice his age. When things get me down I can look at my son and realize I did do at least one thing right in the craziness I call my life.
Congradulations to your son and to you for doing such a wonderful job.
I'm hoping that you are getting to the point of knowing what and when to do what you need to do.
Remember, you've got plenty of friends here that you can lean on at any time. But you've also got a great young man with you who just graduated. I know you're helping him celebrate.
Best of luck to your son and to you.

You are awesome. When planting today I name one of my mallow flower Brokenbody because a hard but bent nail came out of the soil. I know you have asked for a backbone so we'll grow you one. Although I think yours by this journal entry is already there lest your son would not have such honors. Glorious mom. :) Jennay
