On November 7, 2008 I received a message from my friend stating that someone was looking for me.
She stated that my son had died the night before.
He was shot and killed and died at the hospital of his injuries.
Im not even sure how to feel.

Dads blood pressure dropped to 51/29. We got it back up to 91/20. But he refuses to go to the hospital states that he wishes to die at home. And advised us under no circumstances are we to attempt to save his life. I dont know if I can keep that promise.

My grandfather's greatest wish was to die at home. My mother and her sister sent him to a nursing home. He was so miserable there and had a heart attack. My mother is now having the same experience herself.
I would respect his wish to die at home. I don't know how old he is, but elderly white males are at great risk for depression. I would have him screened for this. If he is not depressed, I would respect his wishes. I know it is hard.
