Job Loss Mood
Thursday, March 20, 2008 | A Frustrating story

WEll, they called me into the office this morning to fire me.  Yes, they fired me.  I couldn't believe it.  I am not upset, just frustrated.  I work my butt off, uncover that my boss is stealing from the company and they have the balls to fire ME over work that has not been finished since before I was there.  I think there is more going on in this company that I don't know....and don't really want to know.  They were looking for an excuse to fire me but I don't understand why.  Why wouldn't you want to keep the person that is working hard and fire the person that is lazy and steals?  It was a very interesting experience.  Now I know that if people don't want to see something, it doesn't matter how right you are, if they don't want to see it,  they will go through lots of lengths to avoid it.   It is strange to me, but at least I have more time to look for a new position, I just don't know how to explain it on my resume.  I haven't ever been except once during a cutback at a company and I was given a letter of recommendation from that company.  Oh well, you never know what the future will hold.

OMG, I can not believe they fired you. But maybe it's for the best, you have had nothing but stress and bad experiences since starting there. I think something better is just around the corner for you. I wish you all the luck in finding something soon!! {{HUGS}} and lots of good luck:)

I feel much better now that I don't have to go back, however, I really don't know how to fix it on my resume or how my response will be when it comes to finding the right thing to say in an interview. I guess I could put it off as something new I tried and it just didn't work....Oh well.

OMG is right, I can't believe they fired you either. You sure sound like you are taking it well, sounds like the morals of the place were just too low for you to be in anyway. You were probably seen as a treat to them. Sounds like you are better off without them, and know the world if full of primarily good people be honest in any interview you have regarding any questions about this position and if your interviewer has a moral standing similar to yours everything will flow naturally. Good luck in the job hunt.
