Laughing Well, 2 weeks post-op and I am doing great.  I have only had a couple of days with nausea, not very bad.

I go to my first post-op visit this Thursday.  I think I will have lost about 22-23 lbs by Thurday.

I have started to eat a few things, either very soft or pureed.  I am have a hard time drinking the protein shakes.  I did find unflavored protein at GNC.  It is a life saver, I can add it to any food to get my total protein.

Sapphire's ball team won tonight and I actually got a chance to go to the last game.

Well, I better get ready for bed, I am running very late.

Goodnight!

Sounds great...I am still on a liquid diet for another week, and I am having trouble getting it all in, and now I am sick as a dog with a sinus/chest cold, I am sure it is due to lack of nutrition that I caught it. I cant get all my vitamins in, we are suppose to crush them, well they taste disgusting so I spit them back up, therefore I am not getting what I need. I dont get soft foods till next week at 4 weeks post op :( I have discovered that room temperature water goes down easier than ice cold..however ice cold is my favorite way especially when it is HOT! I am stuck already at nearly 40 lbs....it is so frustrating, i want the next 10 off so bad so I can hit my first milestone! I may need to look into unflavored protein, that sounds easier, although I still need my 64 oz in, and the protein shakes is one way to hit that goal!

no way to put it hon. the first three months suck!!!!! but after six you are going to be one happy camper. In the first two weeks i personaly wouldnt worry about protein or calorie count try and do as much as you can and relax. this works im 2.5 yrs out 120 lbs down (at least i lost track) size 8-10 and i even think i droped a couple this week i wouldnt know i dont weigh myself, no need to. if you can start to explore exercise or at least walk. simple tricks are park farther away from the store, march during commercials, keep the water in the kitchen and get up every time you need some, do extra cleaning anything to get you moving try and do a little more each day. you have an 18 month honeymoon period. I wish i would have used mine better. that is my only regret. need to run to tae kwon do now so i can get my but whiped let me know if there is anything i can help you with.
