About Me
I am a 54 year old step mom. Also step grandmother to one little boy. I enjoy spending time with my husband, his kids and our grandson. I also enjoy taking walks with our two beagles. I am a Christian and love going to church and reading my Bible and other Christian books. Also I like mysteries and working suduko puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. I like playing computer games and nintendo ds games. I enjoy listening to Christian music and music from the 40's, 50's, and 60's.

Just wondering how you are doing. Hope your dad is eating better. I tend to eat yogert when having attacks which I never ate befor. Your dad might be able to handle that. It is the motion and the touch of the spoon or fork that triggers the TN pain. Hope all is well. Mike

Close Trigeminal Neuralgia
My dad has MS and Trigeminal Neuralgia. He had brain surgery to try and correct the problem which it did until this May. My mom has type 2 diabetes and heart problems. She really needs to take care of herself, but most of the time she can't because she has to care for my dad. My brother and I do not know what to do to help them. They don't want to live with either of us.
Treatments
- Gabapentin Working / Worked
- Dad takes Gabapentin and it was helping with the pain, but now it has stopped working.
Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSDad has MS and has good days and bad. He is also suffering from pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia. My mom has type two diabetes and doesn't have time to care for herself because of dad. My brother and I don't know what to do. They don't want to live in an assisted living community or with my brother or me. They need to find a one story house in the area where they live that they can afford on their income and also get medicine for my mom and medical care for her.
Open Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaIam 53 and was diagnosed with asthma 2 years ago. I may have had it longer but the doctors never diagnosed it. Before that I had to go to the emergency room a couple of times because of having trouble breathing. Both of those times they gave abueterol treatments. I went to see my doctor two years ago with what I thought was bronchitis again and he gave the asthma test. He prescribed advair but I had a reaction to it. I am also allergic to sulpha drugs and also have high blood pressure.
Treatments
- Advair Not Working
- I took this for a while but had a reaction to it. I began having sore throats. So he took me off of it.
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- I sit and listen to relaxation music and it helps me to control my breathing.
- Inhaler Working / Worked
- I use my inhaler when I need it. But have not had to use real often, because I do breathing exercises.
Open Diabetes Type 2
My mom has type 2 diabetes and has had it since the 80's. She had it under control for a while, but is having trouble with keeping her sugar down now. The reason is she has a lot of stress in her life having taken care of her mother and step dad until they passed away and then my dad got sick with first back trouble and MS and then had a quadruple bypass and now has TN. She also has had to deal with the death of my brother.

I have high blood pressure and have had it for 7 years now.
Treatments
- Lisinopril Working / Worked
- I have been taking this for one year now and it has been working pretty good.
