I am Barb and I am a caregiver to many. I was one of three girls.I am now an only child. My sister passed away from cancer 5/6/07 and I helped in carring for her. My other sister passed away 16 years ago. Now there is just me left to care for my mom (sever diabetic)and dad cancer serviver. My husbands mom also has alzhimers and his 2 brothers have moved away leaving us to care for them as well. I adopted 4 children other then my 2 bio, 3 of them have special needs.
Open Epilepsy & Seizures
I have a 7 year old daughter that I adopted and have had since she was 4 monther old. She was a shaken baby and has seizures. Right now under control with meds, but when she has a fever still has seizures. It is very scary mostly she has absence seizures and that scares me because alot of times we didnt even know she was having them. I worry about her alot and tend to freak out when she even says I dont feel good. So i"m hopeing to learn more about seizures and get a better grip on it.
Treatments
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- It has worked great on controling her seizures. Was actually perscribed to stop the sever muscle spazums she was having as a result of the shakin baby injury.
