  I read your post about your 11 yr old daughter and your concerns. I have 2 daughters who have followed me and my bad habits into adulthood. I wish this surgery would have been available when they were young so I could have set a better example for them. I do know that you are heading into a 'testing' time between mothers and daughters...the teenage years. Your going to feel like almost everything at one time or another is not being 'understood'. At times my daughters were my best friends then wammo...they didn't want to be seen with me, or anything I tried to tell them was 'old fashion' etc. But I do know they learned a lot by watching what I did...I was bored...I ate, I was sad...I ate, I watched TV I ate...I bought junk food and we all ate it, I cooked wrong (loved that fried food) and we all ate it. I didn't give them anyother basis to set their lives on. Now it might be that she'll go into part of her 'pre-teen' years and gain a few pounds, I know the more my mom, husband, others told me I needed to lose weight and made IT the issue, the more set in my way I got (my daughters have said the same thing..their dad would harp on them something terrible and it just made them give up before they even started and figured they couldn't do it so why try). Giving support and teaching by example and lifestyle is a far more potent gift we can give our children, I wish I would have done it sooner (in the weight issue). I did it for other issues in life I wanted my kids to learn, morals, religious beliefs, being law-abiding, no drugs & drinking and many others, but I didn't think it mattered in the nutrition/lifestyle part of living. Good Luck with you kids, remember, teach them while their young and they will always comeback to it even if they stray for awhile. (I didn't quote it exactly but it is verses found in the Bible about raising your children).

  Thanks......now im planning my engagement party decided to have it at my home.....i have a huge covered porch so im going to decorate it and put tables down the center he keeps inviting folks probally about 60 will come.....i thought about a banquet hall but id rather be more private about it......im so excited......Lisa

  I totally agree thats when ya can tell you made the right decision when you need them and they step up to the plate......your weekend sounds amazing im sure youll have a fab time.......and cant wait to see the pics......huggs.....Lisa

  So glad to hear hes coming home soon i know you are so excited the wait must have been awful......and so gald to hear your so happy......i am too.....Mark is all i could ever wish for he loves me and Keazley its so nice to finally have a man in my life that wants to be there through it all and wants to participate in our lives.......last night Keazley stayed at moms and he was like i cant believe my baby didnt come home......hes so sweet....i know i even make myself sick....lol......but its true.......glad to hear from you.......hey can i send ya my new pics to put on here......that would be great.......huggs......Lisa
