Don't...you will be surprised at how much better you feel without all that negative energy around. However, when I was going through that I felt horrible too, so if you need to cry and rage and storm, do it, because you will feel so much better afterwards.
I don't know if your ex is like mine; there are times that he's wonderful, but when it's bad it's really bad, and it makes me feel horrible about myself and I don't even want to be around him. Well, he is leaving and doing you a favor; you won't have to hear what a bad person you are, etc, etc (all that BS they say). It will be hard and hurt a bunch, but eventually you'll start remembering who you are without him, and you might like that person more than the one you are with him (I do..when I was with him I was always anxious that he would flip out for no reason, I would get jealous easily, I never felt comfortable with myself because he was always putting me down...now that he's gone, I actually like myself).
