About Me
I am a Special Education Teacher. I have three chidren. A son, Alex, who is 17. A son, Ben, who is 15 and is autistic. A daughter, Katie, who is almost 13. I enjoy reading, watching movies and spending time with friends. Ilike animals and have a small dog. I love to learn new things especially having to do with history and enjoy following politics. I am a liberal democrat. I am seperated from my husband of 20 years. I was depressed for about the last five years due to our problems.
Interests
hiking, camping, theatre, movies, books, and learning new things.

Close Breakups & Divorce
I am a 50 year old woman who has been married for almost 21 years. My husband gave me the shattering news last june that he is in love with a woman that he had been sharing a ride to work. I tried for several months to keep our marraige together but I insisted that he had to stop seeing this other woman. At first he fought this as he said that they were friends but then he agreed. No surprise, he resumed the relationship and finally admitted to me that he wanted to move out which he did.
Treatments
- Couples Counseling Not Working
- We went and the therapist told him that he would have to give up the other relationship. He lied and said that it was over. He blamed me for our problem and then quit.
- Family Therapy Too Soon to Tell
- We had one session because the children do not want to spend time with him. He rehashed his side of things and admitted to having hit the kids which is a problem for me
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- I have lots of support and I feel that they try to listen but what can they say after a while. I want to move on but feel that Iam burdoning them with my pain.
- Time Too Soon to Tell
- I think that time and support from family, friends, and hopefully this community will bring me peace and acceptance as I do not wish to keep mourning my lost forever.
