About Me
I had to stop work 2 yrs ago, because of TN. I have 2 children which my husband helps take care of because I spend a lot of time in bed. I am only 38 and sometimes I feel like my life is over. I am now taking Neurontin, with some relief.
Interests
I breed Ragdoll cats. I find cats are a great comfort.

Close Trigeminal Neuralgia
I have had TN for 2yrs and 3mths. I take Tegretol panidine forte for pain most of the time.When I take the tegretol I feel a great pressure inside my head. Sometimes I feel like my head is about to explode or needs to explode, to release this pressure. Does anyone else feel this? My doctor said there is a new Medication on the market in Australia for TN. Does anyone know what this is? I have looked on different web sites but can't find anything.
Treatments
- Tegretol Working / Worked
- Yes but sometimes I don't know if the side effect is worse.
- Cortisone (Injection) Working / Worked
- Pain doubled for a week afterwoods, but worked for a good while.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- Neurontin is working. But you have to take it at the same time everyday to be effective. Much better than Tegretol.
