A dog's life Mood

I finally got another Rottweiler; and he is the most loving, big galoot.  He helps me take my walks (or tries to walk me).  He eats dinner with me, he watches T'V. with me, and he's a very welcome addition to our family. He knows so many commands too. Of course the spiked collar helps with him trying to pull me, all over the neighborhood. I went out yesterday, and he had taken his collar and leash off and buried them in the back yard and waited patiently in the back yard for me to come get him. He didn't even roam the neighborhood. He doesn't even go after the neighbor's pet deer, when they come out to feed. He's one of the smartest dogs I've ever had, and the most loving too. He can't take the heat too well though and I have to bring him in during the afternoon some. It's been 94-98 degrees and very high humidity here. So much for spring weather. That was short lived.

I love the new house, and all these lillies keep coming out in the unlikeliest places. It's amazing how well the previous owner took care of her yard at 80 yrs old. Where do they get the energy in this heat??? I guess by the time we get that old, (although I'll never get there) they have learned to pace themselves, and probably get up at 5 in the A.M. to beat the heat.

Back to the Dog, guess I'll go see if he's ready to walk me today.   If you see a skinny lady being drug down the street by a big dog... well that's me.
