When does love become an obligation? When it's no longer given freely. When it's expected, and used as a tool to gain certain amenities. When your partner says I loved you, therefore you owe me...when it's held over someone's head to extract certain priveleges. When one say's... I gave up my life to put you first and now that I need you to put me first...you owe me that.When is love selfish? when it says... you are not allowed to have other friends, because I don't; I am here for you alone, therefore you should be here for me alone. When is love controlling? When it dictates; when, where and how one should live their life, who should be a part of their life and why? Because they love you. They not only cornered the market on your heart, they own
the market. When is love cruel? When it is used... to convince you that you have no real friends, they are all parasites for one reason or another, and they are the only one you have, in your life that is true blue. When did love become the cold, hard, bearer of bitter truths? When did love become such a sick obsession? When fear invades the depths of our beings, and turns love into something to hate.
