just wanted to let anyone who cares know that my dad died last night. he had a good life. and he was ready to go. but it was sad. you still never want anyone to die.
he was 94 years old and he had lived a good, full life. he had macular degeneration so bad that for the last 6 months to a year, he hasnt' been able to see anything. not ever the light and dark stuff. so, his quality of life has really deteriorated alot since then.
i'm not sure of any arrangements yet. we're thinking of just doing a little get together for the family. my sister is down from montana and my brother is in from vegas (he's a cpa...and this is his busy time of year). so, it may be quick.
everything else is going well for me. i'm in a second class of rehab. hopefully, i can continue to get stronger.

94 years old! What a full and interesting life he must have had...and he raised a wonderful, funny daughter to boot!

I am so sorry for your loss Margaret. We think we are prepared for these things, but never really quite make it their. Remember you dad is in a place where he is in no more pain, can see clearly and is with the loved ones gone before him and will be there for all of his loved ones that God is not finished with yet. If I could do or say anything to help aid in your comfort I would, but I know words don't mean a lot at this time, we just have to go through our grieving process. I will keep you in my prayers, God bless you!!

I am so sorry about the loss of your father. From my own exerperience, loosing my father was probably the biggest tragedy that happened to me. I didn't feel like I could breathe again for almost a year. Time, the great healer!! I'm so glad to hear you are also in rehab, aren't those folks great!! May angels on high gather around you and take great care while you walk through this difficult period. Shirley
