Pesach/Passover as celebrated in accordance to the Jewish calender, begins on sundown of Saturday April 19 th, 2008

It was on the evening of Passover that Our Lord gathered together with the disciples and broke unleaven bread with them and shared the wine, which now we call communion.  And it was during the Passover (Last Supper to Cruxification, evening to next sunset) that Our Lord suffered, gave up His Spirit on a cross, that we might be saved.

Jesus, as Our Redeemer, appears from start to finish within the pages of the Bible:

The prophesy stated in Genesis 3:15 , "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

The symbolism and vision of Abraham's experience taking Isaac for the prospect of sacrifice, which would represent what God, Our Father would ultimately do with Jesus, His Son, that we could be cleansed once and for all of our transgressions:

Genesis 22:6
"And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together."

Genesis 22:8
"And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together."

Genesis 22:14
"And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen."

Jesus reaffirms this in John 8:56 , "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad."

Notice His Presence in the writtings of Moses:

Exodus 12:22
"And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning."

John 5:46
"For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me."

Luke 24:27 (NLT version)
"Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself."

John 19:29
"Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth."

Luke 24:44
"And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me."

The following video is very compelling, it is an excellent explanation of how

Jesus is revealed to us in the Passover:

The article below discusses the process of dating of the Christian celebration of Easter in association with Passover: http://ancienthistory.about.com/cs/godsreligion/a/aa040200.htm

John 11:25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Our Lord bless you!
