My pets are awesome!
I have quite the zoo. Though, as I've warned my husband, not as large a zoo as there will be when we get a house/larger apartment.
Right now, I have a cat, a turtle, a gerbil, three goldfish, and two rats.
I've had my cat the longest. Her name is Lucretia. My brothers found her as a tiny feral kitten by the side of the road. She was just a tiny calico ball of fluff that fit into one hand. Now she's about 10 years old. She's weird. You're only supposed to pet her on the red spots. And she makes funny angry noices if you touch her anywhere else (unless she wants you to). She sleeps with us at night, and growls when either of us move.
The pet I've had second longest is my turtle, Gaia. She's a Three Toed Box Turtle, so named because their back legs only have three toes. I got her while I was still working, before I went to college. She's a vegitarian turtle, and eats mostly leaf lettuce and other vegitables. She's about 22(ish) years old, and I've had her about 6 years.
My rats are MJ and Opal. MJ is grey and white, and is about two years old. She's getting to be an old lady rat, and sleeps a lot. Opal is not yet a year old. She's full of energy and loves nothing more than to be out of her cage. Opal is not scared of anything, and loves exploring and meeting new people.
Our goldfish are Shadow, the black moor, Artimus, the calico veil tail, and Trillian, the red and white fan tail. We have a 30 (well, 29) gallon tank for them. They get to live in our bedroom, and I feed them twice a day (to better prevent over-feeding).
The gerbil, Mia, is the lastest addition to my menagerie. She's very interested in people, but doesn't like to be picked up. Her cage is a ten gallon glass tank with a wire cage topper. She goes to the upper levels of her cage to investigate sounds, and likes looking out at people. She digs and digs and digs, all the time. That is just what gerbils do.

If B gets a better job I think I've got him talked into adopting the one stray :) The black one that I call my little Shadow, the same one who was rubbing against your leg the other day!! How awesome would that be?? :) There's no such thing as "pets" just extended family, don't you agree? :)
