Journal Entry for May 30, 2007 Mood
Wednesday, May 30, 2007

Right now, I really hate myself.

Everytime I express interest in learning or doing something new, my husband seems to say something to shoot me down. He claims he doesn't do it on purpose, but somedays I wonder...

In the car the other day, we were talking about what sort of new car he might like. He mentioned the Cooper Mini, and how he would like a Stick Shift with the Turbo Charge. I don't know how to drive Stick Shift cars, but I expressed interest in learning if he were to get that car. He almost immediently said, "Well, it's really hard to learn."

Even after I get upset and he acts really sorry about such comments, I really wonder if he just doesn't think I'm very intelligent...

Men have no clue. They think so differently or don't think at all. It's a man thing. Don't let it get you down. Sometimes I think men become insecure or afraid that their wifes will out do them or even do a better job. Hey!!!! You can do anything GO FOR IT!!

Guys are blunt and they don't think about things the way we do. They only say what they think logically fits with the conversation, but never consider the emotional impact it might have. And it is annoying as shit ;) I understand.
