  There seem to be lots of us in the same boat - caring for an elderly relative with this disease - it is tough! Some days are worse than others but we are all struggling- I know that sometimes its hard to remember the good times of the past when you are hearing the bad words of the present - But hang in there - this site has helped me alot to feel some encouragement and positive thoughts - Hugs!

  My Dad also has that paranoid, nasty type of dementia and I don't have power of attorney either - so.....I try my best to keep him fed and clean and his bills paid and banking done - not that any of this is appreciated - he constantly rages and wishes everyone else was dead - All I can say is I'm glad I am not living in his evil mind - he's alienated everyone in the family and most days I just feel like leaving the city -
