I say that every day and refuse to give Graves disease power. I'm thankful to have found this community; it helps so much to share. God bless each of you. Ann

    • Close Graves' Disease

I was diagosed with Graves disease in 1988. I had radioactive iodine treatment. After about 6 months my thyroid levels were normal for 15 years. I now take synthroid every morning. I have had it all: anxiety, panic, heart, bulging eyes, decompression, which didn't help much, sleeplessness, rash associated with Graves. My Graves attacks come usually in the spring. Yet, I taught French for 34 years and retired in 2001; I'm optimistic person. This disease tests a person!
