Affected Areas: Psoriasis of the Skin

Psoriasis reared it's ugly head on my elbows when I was 14 years old. It spread to my legs, my scalp, my ears, and many other unpleasant places. When I was 18 I met my husband online and did not know that he too had psoriasis, but oh what a blessing! He truly does understand what I go through every day and I only have a little taste of the pain he goes through considering his affects 90% of his body.

      Treatments

      Coal Tar Not Working
The tar was actually painful to use on my scalp and skin. It burned.
      Dovonex Somewhat Helpful
Dovonex is greasy, but it did seem to help the patches on my arms. It is EXPENSIVE!
      Hydrocortisone Not Working
Made me itch, but if this works for you it is inexpensive.
      Massage Somewhat Helpful
Helps reduce my stress levels and improves my emotional outlook so that is always good.
      Phototherapy Somewhat Helpful
This actually worked for me, but I cannot afford to continue treatments 3x per week at $40 a pop

    • Open Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

Recently diagnosed. Getting ready to try Clomid. We'll see. Tried Prometrium, but it made me really dizzy the last time I used it. Hope I don't get so sick this time.

      Treatments

      Clomid Too Soon to Tell
      Just got the prescription.
      Metformin Too Soon to Tell
      Just got the prescription.
      Oral Contraceptives Working / Worked
This worked for me in the past. I got pregnant when I switched from the pill to the patch because it kept my hormone levels in the right place.
