Support Groups
Close Cervical Cancer
Diagnosed in 1997-8 with cervical Dysplasia / squamous cell carcinoma. In 2000 it progressed to Stage 1 and 2002 to Stage 2B. I have been rediagnosed as of July 05 with Stage 1a/b since the birth of my daughter.
Treatments
- LEEP Somewhat Helpful
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- very low dose radiotherapy 3 sessions followed by cone biospy 36 months remission
- Talking Working / Worked
- This group and all of my friends on here have been very helpful. I am now starting to be able to tell my husband things about my cancer that I never could before.
Close Parenting Toddlers (1-3)
I am a stay at home /work at home mother of 2 year old and bonus(step) Mom of a 12 year old who visits twice a month.
Treatments
- Education (School) Working / Worked
- We go to a playgroup that has a great retired teacher, the enriched learning my little one gets has increased her mind and world 10 fold. I am hoping i can get her a part time spot at the preschool in our town for next year.
- Patience Working / Worked
- we have our days still but patience doe work well most times
- Positive Reinforcement Working / Worked
- I try to teach my little one postively. Not saying your doing it wrong but maybe try this way. I find the negative things make her mad/frustrated and she lashs out and throw fits quicker
Open Child Support & Custody
I am a stay at home/work at home Mother of a 2 year old and Bonus Mother of a 12 year old. The fighting with hubby's ex has been going on for 9 years, 3 of that in court. There is zero communication and from what I can see an extreme case of parental alienation. We take everyday as it comes and hope our daugther makes it through okay, we try to be a safe haven for her, somewhere she can talk about her feelings or anything and where there is no bashing of people she loves and cares for.
