   Eros, there's still lot's of schizophrenics who arrived there from drug and alcohol abuse, commit assault/battery get convicted, get schizo diagnosis from gov't appointed shrinks, then get SSI for the rest of their lives.
   
   Here I am sole care giver to mom in wheelchair, 85. When she was 48 and I was 19, my shrinks declared that under NO circumstances do they recommend me and mom to even live together. I don't want to recite the whole story, but to cut it short ... she is TOTAL stress on me. Understatement. She is ALL born-again voodoo. Complete anachronistic witchcraft. It's not the emptying of piss buckets and cleaning labors, it the psyche mind-fuck of living with her born-again nonsense, and seeing funds swept away on her VISA to 700-Club weirdos. I can't leave here for more than 4 hours because she will flood the toilet, set a fire on the stove, fall out of chair, who knows(?)!
   
   So here I am back to square 1.!
   
   It's proven that I am whacked autism. THAT WE KNOW! The Voc-Rehab support group all know that I never passed through an interview in my entire life. Yet, I lasted for 13 years at my career job working up the ladder from drafting dept to art director/advertising.
   Then also I have a degree.
   
   My psyc wants to continue filing for SSI/SSDI, and he is right in backing me up. I put into the soc sec system. Hey the gov't don't wanna consider the ancient mommy hassle. They can't relate, so don't go there. But I have enough issues that qualify me.

   I gotta reiterate:

   Aspies are not violent. For me it's the moot difference, which disqualifies me ... if I was violent, held up somebody with a butter knife, then I'd be declared schizo and go on SSI.

   Yes, do keep filing for the Social Security. My daughter had to get a lawyer in order to get hers. They atty worked on a contingency basis.
   
   Anyway, hang in there and write to me any time you need to vent.

   I remember a Melbourne FL, near Cape Canaveral and Cape Kennedy, Daytona Beach etc. I withdrew my SSD app when I recovered from cerebellar stroke, 2 years ago, made it thru life, job, marriage, kids, just recently reading all about AS, convinces me I have it, disallusioned with government, big med, big Pharm, insurance, lawyers and bankers, I think they are all in cahoots, collusion as long as they get to keep their mercedes, stock options, mansions, Augie
