First off, thank you all so much for the great tips on how to keep my little Ian entertained. I have tried most of these except for the Mommy Group which I think is a great idea, Thanks Dawn! I dunno though, got to think about it some more. I usually don't feel like I fit in to well with these types of groups as I have a few tattoos and am a little different than most Moms, I usually feel awkward in these settings. But I'm not ruling it out. But you are all so awesome for taking so much time to walk me through these things! I know it will get better especially when he can go to pre-school even if it's just a day or two a week, he needs to interact with other kids desperately.
Now on to my animal issues!! 2 weeks ago my cat was attacked and had to go to the vet-$150. Last night my dog Jake's face looked awful strange, swollen, and he kept shaking his head. Of course these things NEVER happen during business hours, so I had to take him to the emerg. vet at like midnight and wasn't home until 2-ish, got about 3 hours of sleep and had to come to work- as Ian would say...........BOOOOOOOOOOO!
In any case, they said it was probably an insect sting, maybe even a widow or something-gave him a couple shots-another $150. I have never had any problems with my babies at all-now two in a row in 2 weeks. I really can't afford this anymore. They need to watch themselves a little better.
So I am exhausted and broke today..... I love you all, keep an eye on your pets, it's a jungle out there!

Ugh, it's always something. That happened to my dog and we gave him benadryl and it went away. It really scared me though. I usually feel awkward in the Mommy group setting too. I just don't quite fit in with that group. I would probably give it another shot now that I am older, but they quit doing one here. My kids are always easier when they have had the chance to interact with peers for a while. Good luck with that! Take care, April

Oh sweet JJ, I cannot believe the pet stories you have been having to share. Your poor little guy, letting a big old insect bite him. I can offer to come guard your house and hold a baseball bat. I can beat off those nasty creatures that are looking to do your little fellas harm. Hey do you have a sandbox? My kids spent hours and hours playing in theirs. A little more costly than a lot of other stuff but a good investment. hey you might even be able to pick one up at a local garage sale. I am sorry you are going on a half empty tank,has mom found a job yet? ((hugs))marcia

As far as the sandbox that's a great idea Marcia, I know Ashley loves hers (just make sure it has a cover otherwise it will be a "catbox" eeeuuuuwwww, lol. I know how you feel about the animals. I told the vet that I've had animals off and on all my life and I've never heard of the some of the problems they have now. Keep benadryl on hand and if you ever notice pugginess again use that. Roxy probably has alergies so we give her one in the AM and one in the PM. Hang in there it will get better. If Marcia decides to come out with that bat, I'll come too and get cover her back, lol...hugs jilly
