I had 2 of the best days this past week. I was getting myself all worked up with Friday being Wyatt's 9th birthday …
Unfortunately I can relate today with what happened to My Janey and her Lucy dog recently......
Last night my cat Wyatt was sitting at the back door wanting to come in but it was my dog Jake's quality time slot and Wyatt was sitting with some strange black cat who I assumed was his friend....so I didn't let him in. 2 seconds later we heard a cat fight and I ran out to look for Wyatt-he came back later and Michael noticed blood on the bed.
He has a huge whole in his foot, you can see what I guess is bone.
I'm at work now and will get off early to take him to the vet, in the meantime I wrapped it in gauze and put neosporin. He is indoor/outdoor and I wouldn't have it any other way he loves it out there, he doesn't even use a catbox, which I love! So now that he's locked in the house today I had to make a catbox-I hope he remembers what it's for!!
I feel so guilty though-maybe he was afraid of that cat and was asking to come in and I denied him....bad kitty mommy!! I hope it's not too expensive, I don't think anything's broken and all his shots are up to date.
If he has to stay in the house for a week or something though, it will be rough. Ian always chases him (never caught him though!) which he doesn't need right now.
I am sad!! He slept with me last night and everytime he tried to get comfortable he whimpered...I didn't get much sleep
Love ya guys

I think I may be feeling a little better today. I am still so very sad by David Wyatts death, but I am trying to learn …
I am so happy right now I finally got baby David Wyatt a web page to celebrate his short little …
You are not a bad kitty mommy! Poor Wyatt and bad other cat!!! I think the neosporin and gauze is a good temporary fix til you get him looked at by a a vet. I hope it doesn't require more than a visit and isn't too expensive. Maybe the doctor will put him on antibotics or something to be sure no infection sets in? Let us know what happens sweetie. Hey when is that chef show on bravo I want to tune in? Have a good day sweetie. Hope Ian is feeling better. ((hugs))marcia

Oh Jeanette, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I sure hope he's ok. Let us know. And no you're not a "bad kitty mommy".

poor Wyatt! I have an indoor/outdoor cat, too. He was injured last month and had to go to the vet - he was not amused being stuffed into the kitty carrier after being kept inside all night. You're not a 'bad kitty mom' and a cat has to a cat! Good luck at the vet's. Jacque
