So I went to the rheumy yesterday, have to get the bloodwork done and then I'll get Humira. I am praying so much that it works 'cuz this life ain't a good one right now!
My rheumy said something too that kinda pissed me off, he's a big Irish guy, which is intitally why I chose him, I am Irish too. Anyhow, he always seems very comfortable with me and wants to talk politics and other current events-I don't really care to but I indulge him anyway.
So yesterday we were talking about my fatty liver and he said the only way to cure it is to lose weight and I said yeah, but I'm in so much pain it's hard to exercise and I really don't eat much anymore and he says......
"The only way to lose it is to go on the Aushwitz diet...."
WHAT THE F#&CK!!?? I'm not Jewish but that's offensive and I told him so, what an ass!!

Still in lots of pain and I kinda whimped out when it came time for my Mother to leave, she was cryign and saying it was actually causing her physical pain to leave me. (yeah right)
I told her to stay so i'm back at square one-she still has no job or money-she may leave after all but I'm gonna just accept my fate for now and stop bitching about it.
She does help with some errands and things, it's just too much of a financial hardship!!
So like I said, I'm gonna shut up now..
Michael's brother seems to be getting worse again with the Leukemia, so we pray.

Oh boy, not good in Cali at your house. I am so sorry honey. I am pissed off at that doctor too! You know I am Jewish and what a callous and disgusting thing to say! I guess just because he is an educated man doesn't make him smart! I hope the humira helps you. Jack has fatty liver too and the doc told him diet and excercise is all he can do. I have him on the marcia speed walking plan outdoors, he is up to about 25 minutes a day. Hey he is trying right? and that is all you can do! I cannot believe mom is still with you. I agree that if you are going to let her stay you have to stop getting mad at the things she doesn't do, if only for your elf preservation! She should kiss the ground to have you as a daughter, she clearly doesn't deserve you! I have been taking tylenol arthritis on the advice of my pharmacist 3 times a day and it really seems to be helping quite a bit. Maybe you should give it a try? When do you get to start the Humira? It should really help. I can understand what you may be going through with your mom. That's tough. I just hope that things will get better for you and that she can help out more. Sorry to hear about your BIL, I really hope things get better. Take care, Dawn

I wanted to pop in and say hey! I hope the humira helps it really has done a lot for me, but it works best if you continue to take methotrexate as well. Let me know how it goes. You are a softy to let your mom stay, but I understand. Keep smiling, hugs jilly

wow what a pig your doctor is! I'm always amazed by stuff people say - you'd think we'd be more sensitive instead of less. Also it's offensive because when someone says something like that to you it's because they assume you'll agree. So I'm pissed on 2 levels.
Since your Mom is still there maybe you can get her to draw you a hot bath and serve up a nice cup of tea? You need a little pampering. I'm crossing my fingers that the Humira works for you. xoxox Jacque

I was hoping you would have good news..Sorry the situation with your mother is still a problem. Tell her you CAN'T have stress in your life because it makes you sick, plus she has to help you around the house... Cook the meals or whatever to give you some down time!! - I hope you get some relief from the pain before long!! My heart goes out to you. - I'd love to be closer and take that little Ian for the afternoon so you could rest. Impossible!
