Hey guys, first off thank you all for the wonderful B-Day wishes! You are all so kind... Okay I have had this weird problem the last 2 nights and it's hard to tell anymore what's RA related or Fibro or something totally different!!
I get this pain in my right leg, starts at my pinky toe and shoots up to about my knee. It feels like someone is hitting the area with a tuning fork or something. So the sharp pains shoots up and then my leg spasms and twitches uncontrollably for a few seconds while I clench my teeth and bear down trying to ride out the excrutiating pain. Last night this happened while I slept approx. every 30 minutes, it woke me every time.
I came to work and it seems to have stopped but I'm obviously not laying down-there is a PT in our office building, I'm going to stop in at 11 and ask him what he thinks before I run to the DR. Anyone have any clue what the heck this is??
Kiss, kiss, hug, hug....ouch, ouch, ouch...
One thing it may be is a lack of magnesium. My girlfriend gets terribly painful charly horses in her legs and the rhuemie says she needs to take magnesium and drink more water. Now My feet get tingly and feel really wierd at night and the rhuemie gave me neuronton to calm the nerve endings down. It really acts like a pain pill of sorts and I am now going to begin taking it for my hands as well. So that is another thought. What is up with mom? Is she gone????? I wasn't online a few days and may have missed her sendoff! Feel better sweetie, and kiss that yummy little guy Ian! ((hugs))marcia

I'm not familiar with what's going on with your leg, so I'm not much help. Sorry. It doesn't sound fun. Any luck with the PT? I hate to say it, but you probably should have it checked. I know what you mean about not knowing if it's RA related, I have that question all the time. How are things with mom? Did you end up having a good birthday after all? Hope tonight is better for you. I have had some weird tingly/pain type things in my legs too, usually when I'm flaring. Hope it gets better! APril

oh ouch! I think Marcia is right about the magnesium - I take a combo of that with calcium and zinc ... no night leg cramps ;-)
