I was diagnosed with RA in March of '07 and have a toddler son. I have an amazing husband who has Ulcerative Colitis-but he works really hard so I can stay home with our son Ian.

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I was diagnosed in Feb. 07 with RA and have a toddler son, just trying to understand how I'm supposed to take care of both of us! My husband also has ulcerative colitis, so we're kind of a mess...
Treatments
- Arava Not Working
- Gave me painful, crampy diarrhea-which is unfortunate because my joints felt great!
- Humira Not Working
- I took one shot and was in the hospital a week later with terrible chest pain (pleurisy)
- Methotrexate Not Working
- I got a rash, a giant boil on my face, some shortness of breath and other issues
- Plaquenil Somewhat Helpful
- Feel pretty decent-I am very itchy though!!
- Prednisone Not Working
- I had a terrible reaction, High BP I guess, bloody nose, headaches etc.
- Voltaren Working / Worked
- Okay-I think it's giving me an ulcer though

Open Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
My husband was Dx'd right after our son was born in Nov. 05.
Treatments
- Azulfidine Not Working
- Didn't work very well-apparently it is a very outdated treatment.
- Purinethol Working / Worked
- He seems to think it's working all right.
- Lialda Working / Worked
- He just started this one as it is brand new-no generic yet so it is a little pricey. He seems to think it's working.
Open Sjogren's Syndrome
Have RA and Sjorgen's
Open Fatty Liver Disease
