About Me
I AM APPEALING Gastric Bypass surgery and HOPEFULLY will be a whole new chapter in my life if I am approved...I have done MUCH research and have been working towards this for over year!!!!!!! I am waiting to hear from my insurance to give me the weight loss consultation referral(HMO)....worked well over a year to get denied... I haven't made it to the surgeon but my sister and fellow co-workers have used this same surgeon. He just joined my group this year.......so I started the "Criteria" for Gastric Bypass......I will then need support post op to get through...so I joined this group. Already very interesting...facts about food you cannot eat..I KNOW firsthand about SUGAR...... I hope this will be a new chapter in my life!

1st and FOREMOST...my children the loves of my life, , , , , , gardening, church and spirituality, reading, decorating, computer, and my fave....GARAGE SALES(you would NOT belive what I find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
I have been denied by my HMO after one year of nutritional visits and MD visits, psychologist. I wrote an appeal letter to BC/BS HMO as did my NP, she feels i will get the appeal...I am so tired of being put through this red tape and am ready for the surgery.....any suggestions? I am in the Healthcare field, so i had documentation to back up all my fact, co morbidities and diagnosis. Another pt. whom appealed to BC/BS HMO won! I pray i do too...my letter and documentation was over 40 pages...

- Dietitian Consult Not Working
- I saw her a year and just yo yo'd ...THAT IS WHY I need the surgery...but they are partially denying my consult to the surgeon based on i did not lose my 15% body weight....
