A young lady and a young man stand on a bridge that crosses the powerful river near their houses. The lady is in emotional distress, but the man isn’t so much. He has been there through the good and the bad, but today takes the case of them all. The lady has been harassed by her exboyfriend and it’s the third one in a year. She cries her tears flow down like waves that crash into each other.
She has lost all hope and felt like God has forgotten her this day. They walk down the paths along the side of the river. They come to their regular spot. They sit and talk about how much he cares for her. She just can’t see it out side of the world of hell. She walks away from him and closer to the water. Just as she takes a step closer going into the water, he grabs her. Why won’t she realize that there is hope? For that she is loved by all who comes across her. She is sweet as the summer breeze and caring as a mother with her child.
She yells and cries. He hears every single word she says. He has been her angel from the beginning since they’ve met. He loves his dear friend as his very own sister. Today, his sister is lost in the sea of darkness. The waves of the river move just how she feels, it’s almost like they are one. Every move she take he takes with her. He holds her tight in his arms. When she tries one more time to go into the river, he grabs her this last time she falls with the feeling of lost hope. He hugs her tight saying “m’dear, your okay. He had no right to do that to you. I know you are strong and okay. You are my sister and I love you. I will help you.”
Moments pass as she looks out to the water as the last of her tears fall to the ground. He helps her up and walks her to the bus stop. He says “m’dear, promise me you won’t hurt yourself. I love you.” The young lady nodes ‘yes.’ He waits there with the love to help guide her though this dark hell. He has her hold his hands because the temptation of suicide and cutting still linger in her heart.
She is tired of these feelings. As her bus pulls up he hugs her one last time and says “get home safe dear. I love you Lil' Sis. Bye.” As he walks away, she realizes that she is truly loved by this young man. In her heart she knows things will get better with the help of him, her friends, and the Lord.
