hey guys, thanks for the hugs while i been gone. i needed to get away for a while to do want i had to do. i am a lot …
It has been a long time since I posted here. It's time for an update.
Tony has been having trouble with fluid on his ear..so the doctor has basically said he can not figure out what is going on and is sending Tony to a eye-ear specialist.
Tony is continueing to see the dentist regularly and is having all his teeth cleaned, then will follow through on getting cavities filled.
Tony's peeve right now is how the government works ( doesn"t work ) and his perception of government is that it all stinks. I keep telling him that he has to follow how certain officials vote on issues that Tony likes and then to vote according to what he himself thinks should be done. If you don't like how an official is voting, vote against him but vote. At present, Tony's stance is that government stinks so why vote! ( oh uggggg ) That was me pulling my hair out , because it is my belief that not voting is to allow someone else to decide.
Tony is having more VERY near melt downs. He refuses to take his meds and when he gets frustrated at not knowing how to handle something, he calls me and has
a meltdown on the phone with me as an audience. Not a comfortable place for me to be. This rage can last up to two hours at a time, before Tony is calm enough to listen.
I can not always be here, and I want him turning to his therapist, instead of me.
No. I am not abdicating my motherhood here ..guys. I just want Tony trained to look towards someone who can help him when I am no longer able to. I am 72. It will not be too many years left for Tony to form the pattern that will carry him for the rest of his life. Tony could turn to his biological mother, but she did not raise him , and he naturally does not have the certain bonding with her.
Another problem I see ahead, is that Tony has resisted learning to drive. At present he depends on his dad and me to take him around where he wants /needs to go. When we are gone, and there is no one to call for transportation, what will Tony do to get around. ??? We live in a small town. Not much in the way of public transportation here. I paid for someone to teach Tony to drive. He took 2 lessons and quit. My oldest son offered to teach him, and Tony said not now...not interested. Now the oldest son is gone and Tony brings up that he needs to learn to drive...Missed the chance.!! Well guys, it is just another day in the saga of Tony's life.
Tony longs for a girlfriend who would hopefully become his wife. DUH.....How do you meet girls locked inside your house and curled up beside your computer??
I asked Tony if he thinks by chance the girls will come knock on his door? Tony will not join clubs or go where he could meet anyone. And the two girls Tony had a chance with did not appeal to him. Duh...I do wish he had a wife and could be happy when I am gone.
Thanks for listening! Till' next post!
