Mixing spoons
they await
Momma's loving hands
ready to work on command.
I wonder what we'll bake today
will it be taffy or a souffle?
Baking cookies is my favourite
Momma pounds the dough just right!
Sugar cookies we decorate
like a pretty birthday cake.
Ah, baking smells all through out
I breathe in deep, I want to shout!
Once cooled from the metal slate
we'll stack the cookies on a plate.
Momma builds them up like a tower
our goodies will cool within the hour.
At the end of the day
Momma and I will look and say
"A job well done,
now let's have more fun!"
Sitting at the kitchen table
munching cookies, Momma tells her fable
of long ago, in a different era
how Grandma baked with Aunt Clara.
It's quite different today
my Momma would say
looking at me she would smile
together we'd sit for awhile.
Soon it will be time for us to part
it's late in the day Momma must start
the dinner for our family
like her, I want to grow up and be.
I hope every one is having a great Friday.I am felling a lot better today.Did any one bake any thing today as you can see it is baking Friday.I baked some choclate chip cookies and then i made a bowkay out of some of the cookies.I let Sarah help me bake them:)She was wanting to eat all the choclate chips llol.She such a doll i seat her up on the counter.I said Sarah you wont to help mommy make cookies she shook her head yes how sweet is that.When i was a kid i can rember my moma doing the same thing.Thats where i got this poem from rembering the stuff my mom use to do.We may not like the change in stuff but we all ways have the memories in our heart from where we was a kidI just hope my kids when they grow up thay will rember things like this in there heart.We are plainning a all night fshing trip for tomorrow night.I am all hyped up about that and hope and pray that Stan wonts to go and that i can get a babby sitter for Sarah couse i dont wont her in that night air.I think it will be good to just get a way with all the stuff that has been going on.It is just so peace full out there on the water.I hope every one will have a nice relaxing weekend and will be safe doing that.I love you all to death.I wont to give a huge shout out to chris1981:)and his mom and Deb(stardust)I love you all with all my heart.

thanks for the shout-out!!! I haven't got to my baking yet....Had unexpected company stop by & we went out for a walk in my woods...found more little treasures growing...didn't have my camera with me, so gotta run back out & get pics..some are getting ready to blossom... I don't blame Sarah..I like eating the chocolate chips, too!! hope you get to go on your fishing trip Sturday..It's always so nice & peaceful on the water...
