I was diagnosed in January of 2004. I thought I was having a stroke. My entire right side was numb-I couldn't walk, lost the use of my right arm, and I couldn't talk. After a trip to the emergency room and a CAT scan, my family doctor told me he thought I had MS. He referred me to a neurologist, who did an MRI and spinal tap. He confirmed I did have MS. I started on Avonex, but couldn't handle the side effects. I am now on Copaxone.
