About Me

I'm 37, living in a small town in Michigan with my husband, 3 cats and one dog. I started having Sclero symptoms in 1994, with difficulty swallowing. The first Doc said it was "in my head" so I did nothing for 4 years until it got so bad I lost 40 pounds & had really bad reflux, so I went to a Gastroenterologist, who did the Esophageal Manometry test & found no parastalsis in my esophagus - aka Achalasia. I had surgery on the esophagus to help with swallowing, but still didn't get diagnosed with Scleroderma until 2007. Between 1994 and now, I've developed arthritis, asthma, chronic reflux, Raynauds. I also have a long history of depression / anxiety and epilepsy.

Interests

I used to walk in the woods and garden and fish, but the back pain limits what I can do so I don't do much anymore. Mostly I do household chores and sedentary activities like reading, watching TV and movies, and playing with the cats & dog.
