I finally got an appt with the liver specialist - it's on Tuesday. I have to tell you that I am really scared because the doctors think that I have nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). My doc says that NASH is a chronic liver disease, so the liver doc might do a needle biopsy to confirm whether it's that or not. So far I have had 4 sets of blood tests showing elevated enzymes, and I'm not on any meds that are known to cause liver problems. I do have fatty liver disease, but I guess there are 2 different types, and NASH is the worst of the 2. Just more justification for getting SSI - hope I get approved.
Please pray for me - I have never been this afraid. I have always tried to find the positive side to things, even as I have gotten diagnosis after diagnosis of yet one more syndrome, disfunction, disorder, or disease. This time is different though because I'm starting to lose hope, and that is not like me.
I will try to write more after the appt, or when I get a definite diagnosis. I don't want to give up, but the only parts of me that are still working properly are my brain, my heart, and my appendix (go figure). Everything else is shot. Thanks for all of your support. I do hope that you all have a great week.
KEEPING YOU IN MY PRAYERS ALL GOES WELL FOR YOU.DONT GIVE UP HOPE SWEETIE.PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW THE APPT GOES,BIG HUGSAND MUCH LOVE
