I am an LPN. Worked hospice home health for 5 yrs before getting GBS. Have 3 children, married for 27 yrs. Am raising 2 grandchildren ages 2 and 5. Currently wheel chair bound. Diagnosed with GBS 12 months ago.

Close Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS)
13 months ago I had a severe respiratory infection. After one month and 3 hospitals I was diagnosed with GBS. I received plasmapheresis and PT. After 3 months my insurance was dropped and all treatment stopped. I am currently wheel chair bound.
Treatments
- Plasmapheresis Working / Worked
- I was walking with a walker with max. assist. after 5 days of treatment with plasmapheresis.
Close Sexual Abuse
I am 46 years old. Physically and sexually abused by my biological father as far back as I can remember until age 18.
Open Chronic Pain
I am 46 years old. Diagnosed with GBS 13 months ago after going through 3 hospitals. Also have fibromyalgia. I am wheel chair bound. Unable to walk or stand alone.
Treatments
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I was in the hospital in 1987 with chronic pain, back then they didn't know it was fibromyalgia. I'm having lots of pain with the GBS also.
Open Obesity
I weigh approx. 255 pounds. Height 5'7". confined to wheel chair. Have GBS. Age 46.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Not Working
- I stay away from fast foods as much as possible. Financially I am not able to buy fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Physical Exercise Not Working
- I am confined to a wheel chair. Am able to do some exercises with my arms. They are also weak.
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) Depressionmy depression is out of control. I have GBS. In a wheel chair. History of severe sexual abuse. And just can't cope with life right now.

- Celexa Working / Worked
- weight gain so stopped taking it.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- weight gain a huge issue but still currently taking this med.
- Paxil Working / Worked

- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- have been in therapy for almost 17 yrs
