I have been reading a book called -- A New Earth by Eckert Tolle.

Mike asked me today if it is a good book and what it is about.  I told him it is a spiritual book and talks about how to live for the now and not live in the past or the future.

I told Mike that that is what he is doing right now.  Mikes short term memory is about 10 minutes long on a good day.

I looked at him and told him he is my hero.  He stared at me not knowing how to respond.  He asked me if I was serious.  Yes baby, I am.  You are an incredible young man that could be very angry right now, a young man that could just sit back and feel sorry for himself, but you are not, you are happy and fighting hard to get your life back.  You are an inspiration to me and many others and you...are my hero.  

He balled and it was everything I could do not to cry right with him, but if I cry, he crys harder and we were at the acupunturist and I could just envision needles flying !!!

I love this boy with all my heart and soul.  I have never had a hero before until now.

Mike is in the hyperbaric chamber this week and for the next two weeks.  He is there for 20 days straight, two "dives" a day.  I have not really noticed anything yet until today.  His balance is better and he was able to move his right leg backwards "normal" twice today.  I usually have to help him move his right leg back when I am transfering him to the car or anything else he is going to sit on.  He is really tired, so I don't know if his speech is getting better yet or not.

I will keep updates on the hyperbaric chamber so if anyone is interested, you atleast have Mike's results.
