Close Epilepsy & Seizures
Started having problems about 5 yrs. ago with lightheadness, feeling of passing out, nausea, motion sickness in a moving vehicle and flashing lights. After lots of testing it was decided I was having seizures. They were so mild, I guess you could call them simple partial seizures. Can't seem to find a med that agrees with me. The seizures are under control, but the side effects of the meds make my life totally miserable.
Treatments
- Keppra Somewhat Helpful
- Seems to be helping, but the side effects are very, very tired, cranky,short-tempered, unsteady on feet. Loss of energy is the worst, can't hardly work an 8 hrs. shift
- Lamictal Somewhat Helpful
- Seems to be working, but the side effects are nausea and unsteady on my feet. I get very car sick. I have a terrible motion-sickness problem with it, even with elevators.
- Tegretol Not Working
- This was my first med. It was horrible, I walked around like I was very, very drunk. Took less than 2 wks. to realize I couldn't take it.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- As described above.
- Paxil Not Working
- Tried this for anxiety. Actually made things worse.
