    About Me

    I taught Kindergarten and Second grade for 35 years and am now retired. I enjoy children, for certain, computers, reading, swimming. I have a son 30 who lives 3 hours northwest and a daughter and family who lives 4 hours north west. Miss my husband who learned he had stomach cancer and lost his fight with it May 15th, five months after diagnosis.

    Interests

    fishing, camping, traveling, life-long learner about lots of things, spiritual growth and summer picnics and bbq's

      Type: Loss of a Partner/Spouse

      A wonderful friend who my husband and I have known since the 80's lost his wife several years ago and we are now engaged to be married in the Spring of 2008. The following is the story since May 2006 and my how life's journey has changed and DS ! YOU folks have helped me arrive safely to another great chapter that is finally unfolding in my life. My first husband,best friend, playmate, fellow goal-setter, spiritual and emotional companion for 36 years died May 15th, 2006.

      There is always just the right person awaiting a call and taking the time to visit. I must just reach out.

      Crying helps release pain and allow joy to fill my soul.

      The priest at our Catholic Paris has been wonderful counseling and suggesting

      Assisting at my church and also those who are elderly and have difficulty getting to doctors appt. grocery stores, etc.
      Keeping Busy Working / Worked
      Helping others get things done, rising above and escaping the "all about me" syndrome.
      Music Working / Worked
      Choosing a song that fits the mood for the moment and time helps me grow and set goals to increase in positive experiences.
      Prayer Working / Worked
      Without faith in God, I would not be able to keep taking one step at a time.
      Psychotherapy Working / Worked
      The priests of parishes make wonderful counselors
