      I had an enlarged prostate with many bleeding episodes and urgent dashes to hospital but after drinking alkaline water for 7 months all bleeding stopped. I stopped the proscar soon after staring alkaline water. Had two TURPs - 1988, 1994.

      Treatments

      Proscar Working / Worked
      My urologist advised taking Proscar for 6 weeks, then repeat this when bleeding restarts. Has worked OK, but the last time bleeding returned after just 9 wks.
      Saw Palmetto Not Working
      Took it for a year or more - no noticeable difference
