    • Close Narcolepsy

      My boyfriend has had narcolepsy for 17 years. He was on ritalin for almost all the time since then. Now we are in the process of trying new meds. So far, nothing is working as good.

      Treatments

      Ritalin Working / Worked
      Worked but was on 180mg a day. Dr. wants him on something else that won't effect his health so much.
      Xyrem Somewhat Helpful
      Knocks him out but only for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. When he has to get up to the bathroom he is very disoriented.
      Dexedrine Somewhat Helpful
      Still taking w/ provigil but still feels in a daze most of the time.
