Good morning --- it’s snowing here in the mountains. So beautiful. I had a pretty good weekend. Our daughter came and she and Hon went skiing on Saturday. First time this year for both. They had a great time although both were a little sore by the time evening rolled around. It’s great they have something they can do together. Father/daughter bonding!
Yesterday (Sunday) we went to Mass and then went for brunch. Something I ate didn’t agree with me and I spent the afternoon and most of the evening in the bathroom. It wasn’t pleasant. Then to add salt to the wound, my trigeminal neuralgia acted up and wow did it ever hurt. Got me in the left ear so I on the pot with a hot pack on my ear. My poor Hon was a nervous wreck worrying about me. Fortunately, I feel okay this morning. Just a little wrung out.
I woke up early today to the snow and a call from the painters saying they couldn’t get up our hills. I had to put them off until Thursday as I’m having company on Wed. and tomorrow I have a gal coming to help me clean. My 6 best friends from where I used to live are coming to spend the day; I’m so excited to see them. I sure hope the weather holds and it doesn’t snow. You can’t even imagine the amount of white plaster dust that is everywhere from the painters sanding. It’s gross! Both Hon and I are sneezing day and night. Yuk!!!!
I see the orthopedic this afternoon (if I can get out or Hon can come and get me) for results of the CT scan of my foot. Thankfully, the cortisone shot continues to keep the pain at bay!
Till later ...
Ahhhh, the joys of the white dust... I'm still finding some in hidden places and it was now years ago... LOL
Hope you are feeling well today, Marti! I do hate it greatly when something I eat upsets my system... In that case, a boring home cooks diet serves me well. I have so few reasons now not to eat at home (which is a bit sad considering I remember the days of no food in my house when I ate out every meal...those were the days...).
Hope the ortho has good news for you! Let us know what he finds... Take care, my dear... xoxoxo Cj

My, My, Marti. but aren't you such a busy girl. I hate it when my food goes through me, it happened to me on Thanksgiving and I was so embarrased, but whats a girl to do? Sounds like a great time with your girlfriends, I haven't heard from most of mine since the MS. But I am thankful for all my friends here and the ones I know now were true!
hugs, bonnie
