Journal Entry for December 2, 2007 Mood
Sunday, December 2, 2007

Despite the threat of a foot of snow (I hate it), I am feeling quite well and ready to snuggle in with a fire, my puff and a book. Hon and I got a lot done this weekend, including finishing our Christmas shopping. Wrapping is not even thought about but cards are ready to go except for stamps. House is as decorated as it's going to get, which is very little. I will miss having all my kids and mom and sister here, but life changes and I need to learn to change with it. Hard to do since I'm such a control freak!!!

The cortisone shot has helped and i had the CAT scan last Friday. It will be until the 10th when I get the results and I'm curious to find out what's wrong. Walking Ms. Lily is still difficult but I use my platform cane and so far so good. Tomorrow will be trecherous with the snow and sleeting rain but, please God don't let me fall. I have Yak-Trax (spikes for bottom of shoes or boots) and they are already on a pair of boots! I'm good to go!!!

Feeling okay except for my foot although tired from being so busy. I'm using up spoons and running out before morning is over. Damn, I have to learn to slow down.

Lily got to run herself ragged with the dog down the road and she had a blast. Totally did herself in and slept most of the day. Silly puppy!

Till later ...

To be honest, This light blue is hard for me to read. I actually cut and pasted it into Word. I really do not want to cramp your style, but even more, I want to read your entries.
I looked up those Yak-trax. they look real good! I hope they work for you!
Also, about that CT scan. I wonder why it takes so long for results. I got results for one of chest the next day. I guess yours could be from some other location or more complicated for some other reason. Anyway, mine was no worse than previous. Too much smoking. I think I may be finally quit. If not, I'll even take chantix for rest of life!

    I wish you the best!

Marti, It's nice to hear from you I was getting worried. The snow is so beautiful, but such a pain. Glad to hear you are finished with all main Christmas cheer. You know every year I used to say "i'm starting in June, I'm not running myself ragged. Now with this MS crap I'm like who cares. I'm scared to run out of spoons again. I lost sooo many at Thanksgiving I'm just getting able to do a few minute tasks, showering, wrapped acouple presents and today...woo hoo I loaded the dish washer!

Becareful with the foot and maybe your neighbor would walk your dog? Or a teenager you could pay? I don't know but I'd wait and just let them out to potty.
    Miss you, Bonnie

Snow....I'm not sure if I would love or hate it. I think it would look beautiful, but this California girl is freezing right now and it's 59 degrees out. Be careful Marti. -Jen
