It has been awhile since I've been able to get to typing in my journal. My hands have been acting up and my feet, well, they suck! I've had to resort to using my cane and I hate that and Lily is scared to death of it. But, we are carrying on with a se and optimism and hope each day gets a bit better.
My cousin and his wife, the couple that live in VT came to visit us on Tues. and Wed. We had so much fun and I forced myself to navigate them around the big Lake. We went to the place his parents used to rent when we were both young and it flooded us with fun memories and lots lots of giggles. Most of the 'camps' are still there but many of them have been updated and/or added to. However, we found the camp we used to stay in and got out and I walked a little on the beach. There were places for sale but guarantee they are unbelievably expensive.
They brought their little pug, Sparky and Lily fell in love. They got along as if they had grown up together and it was good to know that when we visit them next, we can take her. Sparky is so darn cute, well behaved and loveable. If I were to get another dog, which I'm not, but if I were, I'd consider getting a pug.
We are heading to our daughters this weekend to help her move. I will bark orders and help her organize. Daddy, brother and her new Hon can move all the heavy stuff. We are so glad she is moving out of the place she was in. She is only moving upstairs, but it is bigger, has two bedrooms and guess who will now have a place to stay when we go to Boston to see Sophie?! Hooray!!!
I need to go rest as this is making me exhausted.
Till later ...
Happy to hear of Sophie's "upgrade" in apartments. It will make things easier for you! Amazing how dogz bring so much to your life, isn't it? BigBig lounged around all day but kept coming for a hug and a love--he got many! He's such an old boy, he and is brother both, but I do love them! I have another Pug lover on here, Feisty... she has a couple and is besotten...
Sending positive energy for you to ditch the cane! I know how terrible it is to go back... I hope you'll be able to set it aside again soon! xo Cj

Marti, It sounds like you have over done it again. I'm glad you got to reminence over old memories that is always a treat. Dont do to much just stay in bed for a few and kick your feet up, watch a good movie or read. I looked at pets today myself, I have a dog and a cat but want a new kitten. I know I dont need it but they are so darn cute! I dont have any Sophies yet but my step daughter would love it! Hugs Bonnie
