I'm recovering slowly but shurely from the fall last month. At least I'm not afraid to sneeze anymore....sure sign of ribs healing : )  Got myself a stationary bike, no helmet needed : ) 

The second Amyloidosis Support Group Meeting on August 25th went very well.  The Free Lite Chain Blood test is a very promising new tool for monitoring Amy patients response to treatments. Our guest speaker Karen Van Hoeven, MD presented this in a manner we could understand....remembering it, now that's another story.  But as our group expands she will return and I know I learn by repetition : )  Our next meeting is not scheduled until April.  Living in the North East makes it diffcult to plan events during the winter months when blizzards can arrive without accurate prediction.  I hope to put together an informal meeting "raising awareness party"....where we send out mailings to health providers in the Upstate NY region.
