is feeling OK
I started slowly putting on weight back in 2000. It wasn't a quick weight gain but slow and gradual. As I look back I can remember at the time I had just broken off a relationship with someone I had been with for 13 years. I did meet someone wonderful and we were together for about 4 years. When my father passed away I really noticed my weight started to exceed. I went to many different doctors with no luck. Then I visited one doctor who wanted me to have an MRI done. After I had this done they found out I had a pituitary tumor which caused me to release large quanties of cortisol which is a hormone we all have. In a case where you body produces too much cortisol weight gain can be horrible. None the less weight loss has been a struggle for me as well as depression ever since. I am very relieved to say that in 2007 my tumor is gone however the weight still is a big issue. It is very depressing not being able to fit into my old clothes, move like I use to and be happy with who I have become. I am hoping to hear new ideas and suggestions by joining this support group and of course meeting and making some new and wonderful friends.
Reading, visiting with good friends, watching movies, spending time with animals. I do enjoy walking and listening to all sorts of music. I enjoy playing tennis well when I was in good shape that is.
