    About Me

My husband and I have been trying to have a family for 5 years. We have decided to adopt a child from the Washington state foster care program, and resently brought two children home. We are working through the six month waiting period before papers are signed, we are about half way through. My husband works in corrections, and I am an EMT. We have a love for life and enjoy sharing it with others. We like going camping, on day trips, visiting family, and taking our dogs (pugs) Asia and Mya for a walk. We are excited to share our home, life, and family with our children that needed a home.

    Interests

I love being an EMT!, camping, walking my dog, reading, music, a good laugh, and I love a good movie or TV show that makes me think.

    • Close Adoption

My husband & I resently brought our kids home. We are adopting from DSHS and will start the actual adoption soon. Our children are beautiful and can't wait to be over with the whole process.

    • Close Infertility
      Type: Ovarian Issues

My husband & I have tried to have a baby for 5 years. We have tried Clomid, HCG, & IUI. With our resent additions through adoption we have stopped treatment. I had to have an IUD placed to ease the pain of PCOS and Endometriosis.

      Treatments

      Adoption Working / Worked
We are adopting a little girl and boy through DSHS.
Artificial Insemination Too Soon to Tell
We only did this once and I didn't get pregnant.
      Clomid Not Working
This worked in partnership with HCG to force the egg out. My PCOS prevented the egg from coming out without the HCG. This treatment is painful for me. No longer working.
hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
Worked in addition to Clomid. No longer working.
      HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
      Metformin Too Soon to Tell
I just started so I don't know if it is working or will work yet.
    • Open Diets & Weight Maintenance

I resently brought home my two children that we are adopting. I am over weight and want to show my kids how to eat right and live healthy.

      Treatments

Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
      Eat Less Working / Worked
I need to start this again. Also I need to cut back on the sugar in my diet.
Physical Exercise Too Soon to Tell
I try to at least take my kids for a walk every day. It is harder when the weather is colder but I will try to take them to the mall to walk when it is too cold outside.
      Weight Watchers Considering
    • Open Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)

I am adopting a 3 year old little girl and her brother who is almost 2. We are trying to learn this parenting thing fast. I am here to get ideas for her!

      Treatments

      1-2-3 Magic Working / Worked
      Works sometimes
      Child Time-out Working / Worked
Works if she wants it to work
      Education (School) Working / Worked
This works well. The extra time to burn off energy is wonderful. It also gives me a little breather.
      Patience Working / Worked
I work hard to be patient. It is not always easy.
