About Me
I live with my daughter, grandson, 5 dogs, 3 cats, and an assortment of hermit crabs. In September 2004 I suffered both an aneurysm and a stroke in my brain stem. I've had bad bouts of depression all of my life and have had times of prescription drug abuse. All in all I think I have pretty much covered 'me':)
Interests
My family...both people and animals, working with plants, gardening and eating too much:)

I'm doing good. It was kind of a lazy day. I think all the cleaning, weeding, etc finally caught up with me. I even sat in the sun for an hour or so and read. Trying to finish this book because I already have another one started. Got a little sun burn, doesn't take much for a redhead, but I love the sun. I have a farmers tan, hands and feet are white. Have a little news I will post later,(good news). Just got home and going for a shower and jammies and ice cream. Love Naomi xo

Deb, I love you. Thank you so much for always being there to listen to me. Farmer Brown is doing okay,Doc visit went good I really like him. Very detailed. Did alot of tests with me in the office and is sending me for another MRI for comparison to the last one, to see If I am still having them, and If so If I have any more damage. He said that it was very severe, he couldn't believe it. Also having a whole series of different blood tests ran. Tests I have never had before and some I had never heard of.Also wants a carotid ultrasound done.I go back in 6 wks unless he gets something back from the tests that I need to know, then he said he would call me. So maybe I will finally get to the bottom of all of this. I am hoping anyway. Love Deb

Close Brain Injury
aneurysm/stroke in 2004 after a mini-stroke, aneurysm coiling followed by a major stroke, my poor old brain became injured:(

- Coiling Working / Worked
- I'm supposed to get it checked out again with a arteriogram in a couple of years, but I'm already debating on weather or not I will follow through with it!
Open Aneurysms
It started with a ministroke. When I had a catscan an 8 ct. aneurysm was found. When Dr.s went to coil it I had a major stroke.
Open Phobia
Type: Agoraphobia (fear of open spaces)Didn't realize how much I actually suffer from agoraphobia until I met a friend on DS who also suffers from it! Looking back over my life I don't ever remember ever wanting to go anywhere!
Open Narcolepsy
Spent much of my life always tired. After a stroke in 2004 the Dr found my thyroid was underactive. Put me on Levothyroid, but still no energy. Finally put on Adderol and it's working great!

I have been having a difficult time breathing for quite awhile. My cough reflexes don't work when I'm lying down, etc. I have tried to quit smoking but need some help:)

I am 50 years old, always worked trivial low-paying jobs to assist with family income. Any extra education has never helped up my pay! Had a stroke in 2004...divorced in 2005 and am basically on my own with nothing to show for it:(

Open ADHD / ADD
Been diagnosed with several disorders in which a treatment of some sort would be prescribed,,,Adderol has been like a wonder drug in combating many problems. Mainly, I personally feel it has done wonders for post stroke recovery!

- Fatigue was a constant in my life. Adderol has done great in contributing both to my energy level and experiencing a renewed motivation in life.
Open Medical Mysteries
In September of 2004 I had an aneurysm coiled. Hours later a major stroke followed...my hair fell out at and around the area where the coil was placed. Recently I seemed to have a reaction from something...bug bite, shampoo...? The coiled area of my head developed a large bump followed by intense soreness...a few days later the are began to itch...anyone ever heard of a bad reaction to a platinum head coil?
